The prepaid RushCard continues to grow at a double digit clip as underbanked consumers seek an easier and cheaper way to manage their finances, says the card’s originator Russell Simmons. Simmons says there are tens of millions of Americans who cannot or choose not to establish a traditional banking relationship and low-cost products like the RushCard, which is a debit card co-marketed with Visa, offer these consumers an opportunity to get ahead and eventually develop a credit history.
