How to Use Freakonomics to Win Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest

Companies seeking answers to complex problems should start by focusing on asking the right questions, says Stephen Dubner, Co-Author of “Think Like A Freak”. Dubner and co-author Steven Levitt offer tips on creative problem-solving in their latest behavioral finance book. Dubner also says business leaders need to learn to say “I don’t know” instead of bluffing their way through a problem. Dubner offers Nathan’s hot dog eating champ Kobayashi as an example of how somebody can use the principles of Freakonomics to achieve a goal. Kobayashi broke down the process of eating a single hot dog and ultimately won the contest.
